Questions, answered.
How NiyamX reads drawings, turns your standards into rules, and what points pay for. Anything else, write to info@nirmaanx.in.
Getting started
- What does NiyamX do?
- It checks store drawings against your brand's standards before they go to site. It reads the drawing, measures clearances, counts and areas in code, and judges each of your rules against those numbers, then shows every finding on the plan with the rule it came from.
- Who is it for?
- QSR, cafe and bakery brands that open stores through franchisees or design partners. Franchisees upload and fix their drawings; the brand's design and QA/Ops reviewers check, comment and approve.
- How do we get started?
- Talk to us and we set up your organisation. Your team then signs up with a magic link and joins it with your organisation's code. The Pilot includes one store and 150 points, enough for a few full revisions.
- What counts as a store?
- One site with its own drawings. Every revision of that site's plan is checked under the same store.
Drawings and files
- Which files can we upload?
- DXF and PDF. A PDF can be the whole drawing set: NiyamX names each sheet by discipline and reads the power, plumbing, fire and CCTV layouts too, not only the plan. Scanned PDFs work, with rougher positions that are marked as lower confidence.
- Do you support DWG?
- Not directly. Save the drawing as DXF from AutoCAD or any CAD tool and upload that; it keeps the linework, layers and units NiyamX needs.
- How does it know the scale of a PDF?
- From the scale written in the title block, or from an item in the equipment schedule whose size is known, used as a ruler. When neither can be read, you calibrate once by marking a known distance on the sheet before distances are checked.
- What if it gets a piece of equipment or a room wrong?
- Every drawing goes through review before it is checked. You can move or redraw boxes and room outlines, change what an item is, or add one it missed, and confirm the layout. Checks always run on what you confirmed.
- What is mapping a sheet exactly?
- The first read takes positions from the sheet image. When a rule needs a precise distance, you can map a plan sheet in detail: NiyamX traces that sheet's actual linework and replaces just that sheet's items with exact positions. It is free.
Standards and rules
- Do we need to rewrite our standards?
- No. Upload the guidelines PDF and NiyamX drafts the checkable rules from it, each one keeping the sentence it came from. If your standards live in drawings instead, upload stores you have already approved and it works out what they consistently do. You review everything before a drawing is checked against it.
- Can we edit the rules?
- Yes. Rules live in versioned rule sets: edit a draft, publish it, and archive old versions. You can compare versions to see exactly what changed.
- Can we import approved drawings from Snowflake?
- Yes. Connect your Snowflake stage once with a key pair and NiyamX lists the PDFs on it and imports the ones you pick, the same as uploading them.
- What are seating options?
- Your approved drawings double as a library. For a confirmed drawing, NiyamX finds the approved layouts whose dining area is closest in size and shape, compares seats and density, and notes what each one does well and what to borrow.
Checks and reviews
- Does the AI decide whether a drawing passes?
- The AI judges each rule, but only against numbers measured in code: clearances, counts, placements and areas. The compliance score is computed from the findings, never by the model. When a missing item is uncertain, it is marked as possibly missing rather than failed.
- How does approval work?
- A franchisee submits a checked revision. Design and QA/Ops each approve it or send it back; it is approved when both approve, and either sending it back closes it. A submitted or approved revision is frozen, and every step is timestamped.
- Can reviewers leave comments?
- Yes. Comments are kept per revision and can be pinned to an item or area on the plan. Each person's Inbox shows what is waiting on them; there are no email notifications yet.
- What is the capacity calculator?
- It sizes a store's freezer, chiller and dry store from its projected sales, deliveries and buffer, and compares that with what the drawing provides. When your admin turns it on, a layout that falls short cannot be submitted.
- Who can see what?
- Franchisees see only the stores they are assigned to. Brand staff see every store, plus standards, rule sets, the seating library and the assistant. An admin manages roles and store assignments.
Points and billing
- What is a point?
- Points pay for the AI work: reading a drawing, checking it against your rules, drafting rules from your standards. Each step is priced by what it takes to run, and the price is shown on the button before you press it. A PDF set costs 10 for 1–3 pages, 25 for 4–10 pages, 50 for more than 10 pages. A typical store revision, a 4 to 10 page set read and checked against 75 rules, uses about 36 points.
- What is free?
- Saathi chat, recommendations, compliance reports, layout review and calibration, mapping a sheet exactly, reading approved drawings and deriving rules from them, and retrying a step that failed.
- How are seating options priced?
- 15 points for each approved layout your drawing is compared with, so a comparison against four layouts is 60 points.
- What happens when we run out?
- Steps that use points pause until you top up; everything else keeps working, including the chat, reports and recommendations. Business points refill on the first of each month and unused monthly points lapse. Top-up points never lapse, and they are only spent once the month's points are used up. A run that fails gives its points back.
- How does the discount work?
- Business is ₹24,999 a month with 3,000 points. Pay for three months up front and it is ₹22,499 a month, 10% off. Pay for a year up front and it is ₹18,749 a month, 25% off. Every term includes the same monthly points, unlimited stores and every feature.
- Where can we see what we spent?
- Your admin page shows the balance, when it next refills, and every step that spent points, by whom and on which drawing.
Data and security
- Where do our drawings go?
- Files are stored in NiyamX's cloud and every row is scoped to your organisation, so no other brand can see them. Parts of a drawing, such as page images and extracted text, are sent to OpenAI through its API to read it; under OpenAI's API terms that data is not used to train its models by default.
- Do you train AI on our data?
- No. We do not use your drawings or standards to train AI models, and we do not sell your data.
- What does Enterprise include?
- NiyamX deployed for you alone inside your own AWS account and VPC, with the AI running on your own model account, so drawings, standards and findings never leave your cloud. It adds SSO, an audit trail of every finding and sign-off, an AI governance pack for your risk team, a data processing agreement, security review support and an uptime SLA. There are no points: your cloud bills the model usage directly. Pricing is annual and depends on the deployment.
- Can we delete our account?
- Yes, from your profile. An account belongs to one organisation for good, so leaving an organisation means deleting the account.
